In semesters 1 and 2, students focus on developing ideas and producing their own projects. They acquire wide-ranging foundational knowledge and are introduced to the basics of camera technology, screen writing, lighting, camera work, editing, film music and text animation. By completing a range of practical exercises, they learn how to tell stories using visual images and sound.
In semesters 3 and 4, international experts provide insights into the film and TV industry as well as the online market. The practical elements focus on the development of new moving-image formats and their production, financing and distribution. At the end of the programme, students discuss the latest digital media technologies, the use of media in a variety of contexts and new business models. They are also required to write a thesis.
