Values, Theory and Practice

Social work focuses on how individuals, groups and societies deal with their everyday problems, how they live their lives and cultivate their social networks. As a social worker, you start where people interact with their environment. You enable social changes and develop a solution-oriented approach. With a scientific foundation, we offer you comprehensive knowledge, modern techniques and helpful instruments for practice.

More Than a Job

Working with children and adolescents, integration support for migrants, or addiction counselling and prevention: the professional field of social work is as diverse as the challenges society is facing. Graduates of the degree programme are qualified to provide counsel and support for people seeking help from service institutions and administrative bodies.

Projects: Lived Practice

You collaborate on projects which require you to work on the development and implementation of real-world concepts, taking a theory-led approach. The projects are usually conducted in cooperation with partner organisations and can be interdisciplinary in nature. Experienced social workers are on hand to provide you with support.
