The scientific journal Gait & Posture is a platform for the publication of the latest fundamental and clinical research results pertaining to all aspects of human movement and balance.

Members of the Institute of Health Sciences at the St. Pölten UAS have now published a scientific article in this renowned journal once more.

Reliability Study: Reliable Results in Repeated Application?

The scientific publication titled “Reliability of walking and stairclimbing kinematics in a young obese population using a standard kinematic and the CGM2 model” presents the results of a review of a new biomechanical model.
The model was introduced only recently and is supposed to represent the new state of the art in gait analysis. Our UAS team members are among the first researchers worldwide to examine the model from a reliability perspective and to publish relevant results.

Cooperation of Leading Gait Analysis Experts

The paper is the result of the UAS project ReMoCap-Lab and was developed in close collaboration by Brian Horsak and Caterine Schwab of the Institute of Health Sciences, Andreas Kranzl of the Orthopaedic Hospital Vienna-Speising, and Fabien Leboeuf of the University of Salford, an internationally distinguished gait analysis expert.
