The international online co-creation week
The pandemic has forced us to stay home for more than one year. So the co-creation week was offered in an online format to meet international people!
For more than one year, the pandemic has forced us to stay home and stop travelling. But, as time is passing quickly and the lecturers and students still eager to meet international people, for the first time, the international co-creation week was offered in an online format from the 19th-21st of April 2021!
Interaction and Fun
The international co-creation weeks have been organized by the joined forces of our Erasmus Partners AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts Antwerp (BL) and The Hague University of Applied Sciences (NL), Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics since 2017.
This year around, 500 participants from 20 different countries and 4 different continents were registered. Around nine partners, including our University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, were involved in the development of the programme on sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship in dietetics.
Also on the menu was fun and interactions through online quizzes, online cooking sessions and a week challenge with the collection of food packages.
We, the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition participated actively with 23 students, moreover 3 lectures and workshops were offered by Alexandra Kolm, Johann Grassl and Elisabeth Höld with the topics:
- Future work skills for global virtual dietitians
- Design thinking
- Eating behaviour during COVID-19 crisis
Student Voices
The student voices were really inspiring and positive, here some examples:
- „To me, it was an amazing experience, would love to visit more international congresses like that“…
- „Since I attended the Foodture, I think more about working international someday as I`ve seen that we can learn so much from each other“

100 % answered with YES!
- „Yes, definitively, because it is a great experience to talk to other students and exchange opinions and views on the same topics."
- „Yes, it’s fun, it’s modern, it’s interactive!“
- „Yes, but I am still really sad that we could not meet in real life“…
Next Co-Creation Week 2022
Lecturers and students made best of the specific circumstances and we could move on with the internationalisation. But we are sure, that we also want to meet again in real life!
The next co-creation week for 2022 is already fixed and we hope to travel again!
