Master programme Digital Media Technologies**

In order to meet the requirements of the rapidly changing media industry individual focuses are combined with the teaching of a solid and fundamental knowledge of the subject at a high academic level.

The study programme consists of the following courses:

  • Digital media technologies
  • Economics, law and management
  • Scientific work - Diploma thesis
  • Digital production: master classes

In addition to the master classes individual focuses are promoted further in the module Research, Development, Innovation and Science in the course of the diploma project in the third semester and the finalizing of the diploma thesis in the fourth semester.

Moreover, the annual Forum Media Technology, taking place at the St. Pölten UAS, offers the perfect platform to update oneself about current developments and to network by making new contacts with experts in economics, research, development and science.

Interdisciplinary advanced courses

The conception and realisation of innovative media projects always demand teamwork. In the interdisciplinary advanced module competences are taught at a very high level of expertise required for an in-depth interdisciplinarily linked overall understanding of media technological production processes.

Media technological and transdisciplinary knowledge basis

In the module Knowledge Basis Media Technology basic expertise is taught and implemented in practical exercises. Acquired competences form the basis for the chosen advanced course.

The transdisciplinary basic module Media Communication and Design covers practical knowledge of the basic principles of human communication and perception, media history and media theories.

The basic module Economics, Law and Management covers practical knowledge of management and law, relevant marketing and sales competences are taught.

 

** Attention: The master programme Digital Media Technologies will be transformed into three independent courses "Digital Design", "Digital Media Production" and "Interactive Technologies" as of winter term 2018/19. Subject to approval by AQ Austria.
