St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences

Students of St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in Huawei Technologies’ "Seeds for the Future" competition

This year for the third time the Huawei initiated student competition “Seeds for the Future” has taken place. The goal is the promotion of the digital society and the handling of ICT-technologies as well as the improvement of cultural exchange between Austria and China.

The winners of the competition will take part in an educational trip to China. Participants include a male student and a female student from St. Pölten UAS: Katrin Rudisch, a student in the Master Programme in Digital Media Technologies and Mario-Valentin Trompeter a student in the Master Programme in Information Security. In the framework of the competition, together with eight students from other universities they will participate in the two-week educational trip to China.

Huawei headquarters, calligraphy and ICT-continuing education

A diverse programme awaits the students. In addition to visiting various cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, they will gain an insight into procedures and production at the Huawei company headquarters.

An introductory course in Chinese, a calligraphy course and a visit to the Austrian embassy in Beijing are also on the agenda. The trip also serves continuing education: courses on topics such as "5G", "Mobile Internet Application and Development Trend" and "Network Supporting of Mobile Internet" will deepen the ICT-knowledge of the participants.

Within the framework of the student competition, St. Pölten UAS is a partner of Huawei Technologies.
