New research website online

View of St. Pölten UAS

research.fhstp.ac.at pools all research activities.

The St. Pölten UAS has grown steadily over the years, a development which has been accompanied by an intensification of research activities. With six institutes and two research centres, the St. Pölten UAS is one of the leading research institutions among the country’s universities of applied sciences. Interdisciplinary research plays a particularly significant role in this context.

All of the university’s research activities can now be accessed through a single online platform. At research.fhstp.ac.at, researchers, students and other interested parties can obtain all information and publications regarding research activities and projects.

“The new research website helps us make our extensive research even more visible”, emphasises Hannes Raffaseder, Authorised Signatory of the St. Pölten UAS. “Thanks to the new modular structure, the institutes and researchers now have the opportunity to design their respective areas individually. At the same time, the website has become considerably more user-friendly, thus communicating our research priorities as well as the technical expertise of approximately 200 persons employed in teaching and research better than before. In this way, the website ultimately also contributes to an optimisation and expansion of the collaboration with companies and other research institutions”, says Mr Raffaseder.

Sustainable presentation of research

The website gives particular priority to the two strategically determined focus areas of the St. Pölten UAS: “Cyber and IT Security” and “Data Analytics und Visual Computing”. The aim is to expand the existing national and international cooperations in these areas and to make an essential contribution to the provision of knowledge for a digital society.

With the new website, the UAS puts its research activities online in aggregated and sustainable form. The St. Pölten UAS is an important player in the Austrian research landscape with numerous national and international cooperations and more than 100 research projects per year.
