New Study Programme to be launched in Autumn 2019
St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences Pushes Ahead with Internationalisation

The new master degree programme Applied Research and Innovation in Computer Science* at the St. Pölten UAS trains specialists for activities at the interface between research and industry. The dual education with close practical reference prepares students for careers in the research, development and innovation departments of companies, research institutions, universities of applied sciences and other universities.
Future-oriented and international working and learning environment
An increasingly international focus is an essential component of the further development of teaching and research at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. With the establishment of the English-language master degree programme Applied Research and Innovation in Computer Science*, the St. Pölten UAS takes another important step towards offering both teaching staff and students a future-oriented and international working and learning environment.
The goal of the study programme is to prepare students for activities in cooperative and applied research projects. Within the framework of their training, students receive not only the necessary skills for carrying out innovative computer science research on their own but also the know-how required for the planning and reporting of research projects as well as the submission of research proposals.
Digital Transformation in Science and Business
The dual-system study programme allows students to spend equal amounts of time at the university and in companies or research institutions. “The design as a dual-system programme offers students not only a comprehensive theoretical education but also participation in research projects at companies, research centres, universities of applied sciences and other universities. An education at the highest scientific level in combination with a strong practical orientation gives students excellent opportunities for development”, says Edgar Weippl, head of the development team. The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences thus makes an important contribution
