In their childhood and teens, people become accustomed to a particular type of mobility behaviour in socialization processes and this pattern remains essentially unchanged as a subconscious preference when they become adults. The goal of the work is to use social media and serious games in a manner appropriate to people’s age to promote sustainable mobility behaviours and to stimulate people to reflect on their own behaviour. To meet the demands, hands-on tools are being developed for children, taking current pedagogic and didactic knowledge into account. The team of experts is guided by the enterprise “netwiss”. During the course of the project, the institutes of C\M/T, Health Sciences and centre of competence in Railway Infrastructure and Transport are laying the foundations for the work with regard to software design, transport efficiency and health. They are responsible for developing and testing various pieces of software in collaboration with schools.
