Are you interested in learning what the cloud can do for you? Join our Cloud Starter Event 2021!
In this evening online event, you will get hands-on introductions directly from the biggest cloud companies in the world: Amazon Web Services and Microsoft.
Agenda
Which benefits do you have as students when using their cloud platforms? How can you get started with their services? You will learn how to gain free credits, benefit from online learning curricula, receive certificates, etc.
- 18:00 – 18:05: Welcome
- 18:05 – 18:25: Introduction to Azure for Education, Marco Bestagno (Microsoft)
- 18:25 – 18:45: Introduction to AWS, Michal Kolodziej (Amazon Web Services)
Afterwards, professors from the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences will present live demos of specific cloud application fields:
- 18:45 – 19:00: Machine Learning, Thomas Delissen (Data Science)
- 19:00 – 19:15: Conversational Interfaces with Amazon Alexa, Andreas Jakl (Digital Healthcare)
- 19:15 – 19:30: Security in the Cloud, Christoph Lang-Muhr (IT Security)
Target Audience
This event is designed for 1st semester students who are new to the world of software development and would like to know more about the latest industry trends, as well as for more experienced developers who want to learn more about cutting-edge cloud services.
