The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences received the award “Vorbild Barrierefreiheit” (accessibility role model) from BhW (Bildung hat Wert) Lower Austria.

This award is given away annually to acknowledge extraordinary projects and initiatives that intensively address the topics of accessibility, inclusion, and special needs. Their objective is to showcase the importance of accessibility as a key prerequisite of our society.

Award-Winning Action Week Inclusion 2023

The Action Week Inclusion 2023 thus honoured was carried out by the St. Pölten UAS in collaboration with the Bertha von Suttner Private University and the Büro für Diversität (diversity office) of St. Pölten.

From Sign Language classes and theatre workshops to various presentations, we offered a broad spectrum of programme items highlighting the different aspects of diversity and inclusion throughout the week. Most offers were carried out by experts with disabilities in order to create a stronger awareness of what accessibility means.
