Kick-Off for Campus of the Future – St. Pölten UAS Celebrates 25th Anniversary
As of October 2021, the Campus St. Pölten is the new, joint home of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and the Bertha von Suttner Private University. On Wednesday evening, the campus was officially opened in a festive ceremony which saw the St. Pölten UAS celebrate its 25th anniversary at the same time.
Campus of the Future
Approximately two years of construction work have culminated in a Campus of the Future set to provide key impulses for the region and beyond. In combination, the new building and the modernised original building of the St. Pölten UAS offer cutting-edge spaces for teaching and learning, state-of-the-art labs for research and innovation, and workplaces fit for the future.

The campus features
- 16 new seminar rooms,
- new and larger labs,
- generous workstations for students,
- a Study Lab and Café,
- an expanded library with study booths,
- and staff workplaces with modern equipment.
The campus’ outdoor area has been redesigned as well: the tree-lined campus walkway and the appealing campus garden with its comfortable seating area invite visitors to linger.
The Future Lab is equipped for flexible use and offers the ideal space for joint studying, thinking, visualising and analysing. Projects, research plans and business ideas are (further) developed and presented together.

25 Years St. Pölten UAS – 25 Ideas for Future
Together with the campus opening, the St. Pölten UAS also celebrated its 25th anniversary. In 1996, the first UAS study programme “Telecommunications and Media” was launched on site in St. Pölten. Today, the St. Pölten UAS has more than 3,700 students enrolled in 26 study programmes and numerous further education programmes and has become one of St. Pölten’s most important employers.
However, the UAS also used the festivities to take a look ahead: within the framework of a call for ideas, the UAS encouraged students, lecturers, researchers and administrative staff members to submit their “Ideas for Future”. A total of 48 teams and individuals responded to the call and presented their innovative ideas which were exhibited within the framework of the opening ceremony that brought the project teams together with prominent decision-makers from the worlds of business, politics, and research. From 21 to 31 October, the 25 Ideas for Future will be on display at the Red Point in St. Pölten’s Wienerstraße.
St. Pölten UAS and Bertha von Suttner Private University under One Roof
The Bertha von Suttner Private University is also located at the new campus. Since its accreditation in 2018, it has continuously expanded its range of educational programmes and currently offers five study programmes and three further education programmes in the areas of psychotherapy, social sciences, educational sciences, and business. The number of students enrolled is growing steadily.
