Last weekend (16-17 January), the St. Pölten UAS held COVID-19 tests within the framework of the Lower Austrian mass tests once again. Just like in December, students of the bachelor degree programme Healthcare and NursingPLUS carried out the tests under the supervision of lecturers and Head of Department Andrea Kdolsky.

“Once again, our students and voluntary helpers did a great job this weekend. I would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment”, says Andrea Kdolsky.

Important Contribution

Participation was considerably higher this time around: after 1,650 people came to the UAS to be tested in December, as many as 2,701 people used this opportunity in January.

“By getting tested at regular intervals, everyone can contribute to the containment of the virus. Together with the vaccination, this strategy will help us return to normality as soon as possible. At the same time, we can gather important experiences in the organisation and implementation of tests, which may enable us to help with the distribution of the vaccine as well”, emphasises Kdolsky.

Great Satisfaction

Students of the bachelor degree programme Media Technology made their own contribution on the weekend by programming a tool to measure the satisfaction of the tested persons and obtaining feedback on the test process and organisation. Almost 600 persons evaluated the test procedure and 97% of them said they were “very satisfied” with the service.
