As of November 2023, Barbara Wondrasch takes the lead of the Institute of Health Sciences (IGW) – a position that she has already held in an interim capacity since December 2022.

Barbara Wondrasch graduated from the Physiotherapy Academy of AKH Wien, completed sports physiotherapy training at the International Academy of Sports Medicine as well as the master degree programme Evidence-Based Physiotherapy at FH Campus-Wien and a PhD programme at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.

She has been a lecturer at the St. Pölten UAS since 2012. Her emphases in teaching and research are on physiotherapy in the clinical fields of orthopaedics/traumatology and clinical research with a focus on arthrosis, injury prevention in sports, and biomechanics. Barbara Wondrasch is a member in numerous international professional associations and a reviewer for several renowned specialist magazines.

Simon Tjoa heads the Institute for IT Security Research

Simon Tjoa took over as Head of the Institute for IT Security Research in October 2023. Tjoa also heads the Department of Computer Science and Security and the Cyber Security and Resilience degree program.

Peter Kieseberg, the previous Head of the Institute of IT Security Research, will focus more on his research agendas and on heading the Josef Ressel Center for Blockchain Technologies & Security Management.
