Numerous Visits by Politicians

Political representatives learnt about the university's activities

Over the past week, we welcomed several politicians to the St. Pölten UAS in order to engage in exchange on various topical issues:

  • Together, Minister of Defence Klaudia Tanner and Lower Austrian Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner gained an impression of the training in Cyber Security offered at the St. Pölten UAS. During her visit, the Minister signed a cooperation agreement with the association “Cyber Security Austria” that seeks to intensify the exchange between the Austrian Armed Forces and the association.

  • On the occasion of the European elections, the Vice President of the European Parliament, Evelyn Regner paid a visit to the St. Pölten UAS accompanied by Mayor Matthias Stadler and obtained information mainly on our activities within the framework of the E³UDRES² alliance.

  • During a press conference at the UAS last Thursday, Deputy Governor Stephan Pernkopf presented the new economic agenda for Lower Austria.

  • And this Tuesday, Federal Minister Martin Polaschek visited to our institution upon an invitation by the municipality of St. Pölten. After gaining a first impression of the UAS, he went on to inform himself in more detail on current developments within the framework of the European University Alliance E³UDRES².
