The European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC) is one of the most important conferences in the field of clinical gait analysis in Europe. This year the ESMAC took place in Dublin (Ireland). The University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten was represented with three oral presentations, two were presented by Djordje Slijepcevic and Brian Horsak, one by a colleague from the Medical University of Graz.

Topics presented ranged from the estimation of knee joint contact forces using complex simulation models during a dynamic balance test, to machine learning for automatic classification of age groups in gait analysis, as well as patellofemoral instability and its influence on knee contact forces during walking.
