Data Collection and Purpose of Processing

The computer-assisted data processing takes place for the purpose of stakeholder management on the part of the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH. The Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH uses computer-assisted processing for all personal data that it receives via personal contacts (business cards, email contacts), from publicly accessible data sources (websites of organisations, institutions, associations), on the basis of membership in the Society for the Promotion of the St. Pölten UAS, or through participation in events. The data is processed for the purpose of contact management, for improving the quality of interaction, and for communicating relevant information and news pertaining to the St. Pölten UAS to the stakeholders. This includes information on current activities and developments in particular. The stakeholders of the St. Pölten UAS encompass, for example, cooperation and research partners, internship providers, press partners, research institutions, associations, and interest groups.

Data processing take places on the legal basis of the St. Pölten UAS’ legitimate desire to establish contact with relevant stakeholders, exchange information, and enter into dialogue.

Moreover, the data is used for direct marketing purposes in order to advertise activities of the St. Pölten UAS, of which you will be notified via email or letter. This use of personal data is considered a legitimate interest of the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH.

You can object to the processing of your data at any time by sending an email to datenschutz@fhstp.ac.at or by making use of the according option in every electronic mailing.

Which data ist stored?

We store and process the following personal data: last name, first name, function, affiliation with an organisation, address, email address, telephone number (fixed network and mobile), type of organisation, topic areas of the organisation.

For How Long Is the Data Stored?

The data is stored and processed for as long as necessary in order to safeguard the legitimate interests of the St. Pölten UAS, unless the data subject has raised a (justified) objection to continued processing before this time. In any case, the data will be deleted three years after the last contact at the latest.

Data Security

All data is stored on servers that are operated with high security standards and protected against unauthorised third-party access and fraudulent use.

If any data is forwarded to third parties, the St. Pölten UAS shall make certain that these also comply with the applicable national and European data protection regulations.

The St. Pölten UAS selects its external processors with great care and ensures, within the framework of a written processing contract, that the transmitted personal data is processed by the contractor exclusively in accordance with this contract.

Data Recipients

The collected data is used by staff members of the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH for the aforementioned purpose.

For stakeholder management purposes, the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH uses the software Microsoft Dynamics. The data is forwarded to the contract processor Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland (contact: https://aka.ms/privacyresponse) for the storage of personal data and for carrying out stakeholder measures. The transfer takes place on the basis of a contract processing agreement.

Rights of Data Subjects

In the context of the processing of personal data, the following fundamental rights apply to all data subjects:

  • The right to access the respective personal data
  • The right to rectification and erasure
  • The right to object to the data’s use
  • The right of data portability
  • The right to restriction of processing

All data subjects can assert these rights by responding to the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH as the responsible data controller (datenschutz@fhstp.ac.at).
