Databases, Electronic Journals and Books

Interdisciplinary Databases
Springerlink
We have full texts of thousands of journals from all subject areas as well as hundreds of e-books from the fields of the humanities, economics and social sciences.
Advice: after you have launched a search query, deactivate the checkbox “Include Preview-Only Content” to obtain full texts faster!
RDB Legal Database
The RDB is an essential source for all subject areas pertaining to Austrian law. It contains approximately 100 journals, collections, yearbooks, the section MANZ Wissenschaft with about 2,000 items, and index documents.
The RDB can be accessed only within the St. Pölten UAS network and with a valid UAS account. You have to create a MANZ user account when logging in for the first time.

Austrian Standards Reading Room
Contains more than 5,200 standards (ÖNORM ISO, EN ISO) from areas including: business administration, corporate management, quality, information technology, structural noise protection, and civil engineering.
statista – The Statistics Portal
statista continuously aggregates the results of surveys and studies from more than 10,000 sources, provides them with metadata, and presents them in standardised form. From demography and media use to care & support, the portal offers statistics on more than 60,000 topics via intuitive keyword search.
LinkedIn Learning
On this platform, members of the St. Pölten UAS have access to over 13,000 professionally created online courses featuring the subject areas of software, creativity and business skills in particular. In addition to the English-taught courses previously available through Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning also contains content in German and other languages. (Note: to see these, you have to change the display language of the website.)
Following the registration under the link below, you can use the offer from your browser or via the LinkedIn Learning apps. You need to register using an active UAS e-mail address, but you will need to select a new password. Connecting your registration to an existing LinkedIn account is not necessary.

Austria Kiosk
Current and previous editions of 160 Austrian and international newspapers, journals and magazines; can be used on site using the UAS network only.

Free, open-access online courses (massive open online courses) ranging from various topics such as media skills, data protection, copyright, etc. to the preparation for the pre-scientific thesis (VWA) or diploma thesis (DA) for secondary school students.
