Data science turns data into knowledge. Data competency is at the centre of this process. This means collecting, processing, analysing and visualising data – which involves countless tools that allow data scientists to get to the bottom of data and their hidden information.

In the Data Science Lab, students can use various tools such as Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, Power BI, KNIME, and RapidMiner to gather experiences. There are also development environments like Visual Studio Code and Anaconda to learn coding in Python and R.

Data are diverse. They can exist in the form of structured tables or involve images, text, videos or audio recordings. The Data Science Lab offers the necessary learning environment to extract knowledge from all these data and acquire the competencies hands on.
