Join an existing Erasmus Network in Social Work
Who are we?
We are a functioning network of Social Work faculties under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, which was founded by an international conference in Groningen (NL) in 1998. Since then the network has grown to include the following partners.
What do we do?
We exchange teachers and students on an individual and bilateral level. We secure a working platform for partners in the network, especially co-operating within the Erasmus+ programme. We cover relevant aspects of social work with a multinational perspective through the organisation of and participation in the International University Week, which is held every year in April. The partners in the network take turns to host and organise this event. The International University Week is often the first step for students to make personal contacts in regard to individual student exchanges.
What do we offer?
We are currently looking for new universities in other European countries to join our network. We offer a well-functioning network with people who are committed to internationalisation as an important aspect of social work education. All universities are linked via bilaterial Erasmus agreements to foster the exchange of students and lecturers.
Every year in April the International University Week is hosted by at least three network universities and brings together students and teachers from all partner universities. In October we take turns to host a network meeting with the participation of international co-ordinators and other relevant persons. The common language at our network meetings and International University Week is English.
What do we expect from you?
We expect new partners to be interested in:
- Exchanging students and teachers
- Organising an International University Week every 2nd or 3rd year
- Sending students and teachers to International University Weeks in other European countries
We invite your commitment and active participation, and we look forward to welcoming you to our network.
