Join an existing Erasmus social work network
Who we are
This effective network of comprises a number of social work faculties that have entered into partnership under the EU's Erasmus+ programme, which was set up at an international conference in Groningen (NL) in 1998. Since then, the network has grown to include various partners.
What we do
We manage teacher and student exchanges on an individual and bilateral level. We operate a working platform for the network partners, which mainly cooperate within the Erasmus+ programme. We adopt a multinational perspective on relevant aspects of social work by organising and participating in International University Week, held every April. Our network partners take turns to host and organise this event. International University Week is often the first step for students who are interested in individual exchanges, as it allows them to make personal contacts.
What we offer
We are currently looking for universities in other European countries which would like to join our network. We offer an effective network with staff who are committed to internationalisation as an important aspect of education in social work. All of the member universities have concluded bilateral Erasmus agreements in order to foster the exchange of students and lecturers.
Every April, at least three network universities host International University Week, which brings together students and teachers from every partner university. And each October the members take turns to host a network meeting attended by international coordinators and other stakeholders. Network meetings and International University Week take place in English.
What we expect from you
We expect new partners to be interested in:
- Exchanging students and teachers
- Organising International University Week every two or three years
- Sending students and teachers to International University Week in other European countries
We invite your commitment and active involvement, and look forward to welcoming you to our network.
