Knowledge Transfer in the Region
St. Pölten UAS as Member of STEM Region Mostviertel
The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences recently joined the “STEM Region Mostviertel” and has thus expanded its range of educational offers and scientific topics for young people.
STEM Regions are regional networks that let people experience science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from various perspectives, that create synergies, and provide a seamless educational offer in the STEM disciplines along the entire education chain.
Multiple Advantages
Thanks to this initiative, young people can experience STEM in entirely new contexts. They strengthen their digital and technical competencies in an inspiring environment and are assisted in exploiting their professional and personal opportunities in STEM.
Educational and research institutions are enabled to better communicate their STEM specialisations, which helps to reduce scepticism towards science and technology in society.
Companies, in turn, are supported in finding talent and specialist staff. The federal government promotes the initiative with the objective of sustainably strengthening the Austrian position as a location for science and business in the STEM disciplines.
