SDG Flag Day: A Symbol of Sustainability

St. Pölten UAS Joins SDG Flag Day and Makes Commitment to Sustainability Visible

The St. Pölten UAS sends a clear signal for sustainable development: On the SDG Flag Day (25 September), we will raise the flag of the United Nations, thus reaffirming our commitment to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sustainability is one of our central concerns – in teaching, research, and everyday campus life.

Kicking off Our SDG-Themed Series

The SDG Flag Day also marks the beginning of a new series dedicated to sustainability: Over the next weeks, we will feature one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals every week. The selected contributions shall serve as examples of how the St. Pölten UAS strives to contribute to a sustainable future. We will examine diverse topics – from poverty in old age to sustainable food systems.

However, this spotlight shows only a section of the whole: Behind every contribution is a broad commitment in research, teaching, and practice. After all, sustainability is more than just a buzzword for us – we take our mission as higher education institution seriously and we actively contribute to the Agenda 2030.
