Where Knowledge Meets the Future

New St. Pölten UAS Magazine ‘future’ on the Development of Higher Education

The 20th edition of the magazine ‘future’ by the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences takes a look at the future of higher education: Which topics are currently affecting higher education institutions, and how do they contribute to answering the big questions of society?

In addition, the magazine provides information on international projects, start-ups, and recent insights from the research conducted at the UAS. Also, we introduce students – among them a former music teacher turned student of healthcare and nursing.

Artificial intelligence, climate change, scepticism towards science – both higher education institutions and society are facing major challenges. They respond with applied research and international collaboration. The latest edition of the ‘future’ magazine illustrates the meaning that universities have for society, and what role European University Alliances play in this context.

Vacuum Cleaners as Lifesavers, and Plastic-Free Showering

The magazine also explains how new digital tools can help clients become even more actively involved in social diagnostics, how regional railway lines can be upgraded, and how we can shower plastic-free.

In addition, ‘future’ shows

  • how vacuuming robots can save lives,
  • what’s next for social media,
  • how St. Pölten UAS students detect industrial security gaps, and
  • how the EU funding programme Erasmus+ helps students and staff to engage in close exchange with partner institutions all over the world.

The ‘future’ magazine is available in print and online.
