Social pedagogues help to organize everyday life for and with people who require assistance. They support learning processes and accompany people through difficult periods in their lives. They get to know people with difficult and turbulent biographies. The profession is personally rewarding, but requires a willingness to continuously work on your personality.
The continuing education course was developed in consultation with the Child and Youth Welfare of Lower Austria.
Bachelor degree in social pedagogy - in cooperation with Enschede (NL)
As the first university of applied sciences in Austria, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with Saxion Hogeschool Enschede, offers its students a bachelor degree in the Netherlands. Graduates of the academic course can earn the Dutch academic title of Bachelor of Social Work (Social Pedagogy) through recognition of the achievements carried out at St. Pölten UAS and additional completion of courses amounting to 60 ECTS.
